Dick Allsopp Summer Camp

The Rudder Club’s Summer Camp for budding sailors

The Dick Allsopp Summer Camp takes place each summer for five weeks at The Rudder Club of Jacksonville. Camp is offered for ages from 8-15 years old. Each class runs Monday- Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Young sailors will learn sailing and social skills as well as sportsmanship and competitive sailing. All camp instructors are U.S. Sailing certified sailing instructors or certified sailing assistants. Junior instructors and youth camp counselors are provided formal training in the performance of their duties. The camp teaches in the U.S. Sailing format and strives to provide top quality instruction, since the first experiences of a new sailor form memories which last a lifetime. Many of the camp students go on to become Rudder Club Junior Members which enables them to take part in our Junior Sailing Program.   • Your application is NOT complete until we have the application and payment. We will not be holding spots for any week.
