66th Mug Race
Since 1954, sailors have come to meet the challenge and fun of Mug Race! Thought to be the world's longest river race, this unique one-way distance race takes sailors north from Palatka, FL to Jacksonville along 38 nm of the beautiful St. Johns River.
This year's race will have a single starting time, but two different starting lines: one for multihulls and one for monohulls. We will have a trailer and driver to help cat sailors bring their cat tracks from Palatka up to the finish at the Rudder Club.
Don't forget the great social events that surround Mug Race. In addition to the Party at the Rudder Club on Saturday night, remember the Half-Way Party at Green Cove Springs Marina on Thursday May 4, and the World's Greatest Regatta Breakfast Sunday morning May 7!
For more information information, to see the NOR, or to register, please see our Regatta Network site. Remember that mast height is limited to 44', to enable boats to clear the Shands Bridge in Green Cove Springs.
