Meet your sailing instructor
Hi, my name is William Boudreaux and I am a certified US Sailing instructor. I love the water and being outdoors. The Rudder Club is my home away and home and I am passionate about sailing and sharing my knowledge.
I offer one-to-one tuition or group classes for beginners or refresher courses. For those interested in sport sailing, I offer personalized training in multihull and/or flying spinnakers. Call the Rudder Club office at 904- 264-4094 to book your lessons.
The Adult Sailing class is designed to introduce beginners to the art of sailing. By the end of the class, students will be able to operate a small boat in inland waters in light to medium wind and water conditions. The emphasis is on practical sailing skills. Successful completion of the course leads to US Sailing Small Boat Certification.
Each class will consist of one classroom session on Friday evening before the first weekend session. Two weekends in a row will be dedicated to practicing on the water.
Graduates are encouraged to join the Rudder Club and practice their fresh learned skills on the club boats available for hire from $11 per day.
This is personalized training for intermediate level sailors that are interested in sport sailing. The program transitions sailors from intermediate skill level to learning spinnaker handling, sail trim, racing rules and tactics applicable in any vessel. Upon completion you should be confident enough to skipper or crew at race level.
Saturday 30 September Work Day. Every member is encouraged to attend- no matter your skill level, we will be happy to have you participate.
