SESSIONS LEFT FOR THE YEAR
August 10, 11, 17, 18
September 21, 22, 28, 29
October 5,6, 12, 13
The Adult Sailing class is designed to introduce beginners to the art of sailing. By the end of the class, students will be able to operate a small boat in inland waters in light to medium wind and water conditions. The emphasis is on practical sailing skills. Successful completion of the course leads to US Sailing Small Boat Certification. Each class will consist of one classroom session on Friday evening before the first weekend session. Two weekends in a row will be dedicated to practicing on the water. Graduates are encouraged to join the Rudder Club and practice their fresh learned skills on the club boats available for rent for $11 plus tax.
If you're worried about sailing on your own, the Rudder Club members are a friendly bunch and if you ask, most members will be happy to sail with you until you get confident enough to go it alone. All you have to do is come and join us at the Rudder Club for our weekly Friday Happy Hour & Social Event (6 - 9 pm) and introduce yourself!

This is personalized training for intermediate level sailors that are interested in sport sailing. The program transitions sailors from intermediate skill level to learning spinnaker handling, sail trim, racing rules and tactics applicable in any vessel. Upon completion you should be confident enough to skipper or crew at race level.
